I am a resident with the City of Kitchener for over 25 years, and a resident with the Region of Waterloo for close to forty years.
I was born in Stratford, Ontario. In my youth I attended to high school in Woodstock , Ontario; church in Tavistock, Ontario.
So I am a local boy. I have lived experience with new Canadians and children of new Canadians.
Formal academic achievements include an undergraduate degree liberal arts degree from the University of Waterloo, diploma of social work with Renison University College, and a certificate program in community mental health from Conestoga College. I am a Certified Peer Supporter with Peer Support Canada.
Employment includes community work with the non-profit community mental health sector since 1993. From 1980 I worked as an apprentice carpenter and have achieved journeyman status.
